McEwen & Associates is a licensed MSO provider of Intergy Practice Management (PMS) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems of Sage Software. The software applications and data are located on site in our secure data center in Irving, Texas. Your employees log-on to the remote icon located on their desktop, tablet or laptop. McEwen provides a terminal services server, an image server and a central server to process your information. The terminal services server is the “traffic cop” that makes sure information is safe and secure. You must have a user name and password that the terminal services server recognizes to access your data. Once an item in a chart has been scanned it is located on the image server. McEwen will advise your staff on the best way to catalog your files to obtain quick and reliable access. The central server will house and process your data. The information is backed up once a day each day. The system has two drives with redundant data stored on a separate hard drive on the central server.
The software is Intergy by Sage. The Intergy Practice Management System (PMS) provides the base system that you will need to run your business. The Intergy PMS provides a data base to store and retrieve patient information. Your front office can schedule patients, store patient information,
store insurance information and analyze your practice through the reports that are available to you.The Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system allows you to eliminate the need for paper in most cases. You record all of the information vital to maintaining patient care electronically. Doctors and nurses may choose to access the information on tablets, laptops or desktops. It is best to find the right method for each user. In addition, you can order prescriptions for your patients through e-prescription and labs through clinician. If you use e-prescription and/or process labs through clinician, patient accounts are updated as soon as the doctor issues the prescription or signs the lab results.
McEwen relieves you from maintaining computer supporting personnel and billing personnel, and provides you and your staff with individuals that will personally guide you through the business processes. If you have a computer hardware or software question, you can call the McEwen staff person assigned to you. He or she will either answer your question or contact a member of the Sage technical staff to get your questioned answered as soon as possible. If necessary the Sage technician will walk you through the solution. The Sage technicians are courteous and well trained. For Intergy PMS, McEwen will train you and your staff and guide them until everyone understands fully their jobs. For EMR, at no additional cost Sage will train your staff and provide the support necessary for your specialty. Sage has trained personnel in your specialty. You get the best of both worlds. You get well trained personal support from McEwen and specifically trained technicians from Sage in your specialty.
McEwen has billing coordinators specifically trained in your specialty. We have over 50 years of combined billing and medical services experience. McEwen can record your charges through paper encounter forms or electronically through the EMR system. Our billing coordinators thoroughly review all charges before submission. We process appeals immediately and follow up with resubmissions to insure that you maximize your collections and cash flow. Our billing coordinators eliminate the need for you to have trained billing staff. You will have lower personnel costs and faster collections with trained staff to process your claims.
